By downloading, installing, or using the Quietly Sober mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our App.

2. Description of Service

Quietly Sober is a mobile application designed to support individuals in their sobriety journey by providing:

• Sobriety tracking and milestone celebration
• Inspirational content and daily affirmations
• Community discussion forums
• Literature and resources for recovery
• Progress visualization and statistics

2.1 Independence and Affiliation Disclaimer

• We respect and acknowledge the valuable work of established recovery organizations
• Our app may reference general recovery concepts, but we do not represent any specific program
• Users seeking specific program guidance should contact those organizations directly
• Any literature or content shared is either original or properly attributed to its sources

3. Medical Disclaimer

• Always seek the advice of qualified healthcare providers with questions about medical conditions
• Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in our App
• If you are experiencing a medical emergency or crisis, contact emergency services immediately
• The App is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition

4. User Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this App. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.

5. User Account and Registration

• You may need to create an account to access certain features
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

Our discussion forums and community features are designed to be supportive spaces. Users must:

• Treat all community members with respect and kindness
• Share experiences constructively and supportively
• Respect the privacy and anonymity of others
• Report inappropriate content or behavior
• Follow all applicable community guidelines posted within the App

8. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you consent to our data practices as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Subscription and Payment Terms

9.1 Ad-Free Subscriptions

• We offer optional Ad-Free subscriptions (yearly and lifetime options)
• Subscription fees are charged through your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
• Yearly subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your device's app store settings

9.2 Refunds

• Refund requests are handled by the respective app stores (Apple or Google)
• We do not directly process refunds for in-app purchases
• Contact the app store customer service for refund requests

10. Intellectual Property

• The App and its content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App
• All trademarks, logos, and brand names are the property of their respective owners
• User-generated content remains your property, but you grant us a license to use it within the App

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

11.1 App Availability

• We strive to keep the App available 24/7 but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
• The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features without notice

11.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND
• WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
• OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE APP IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS
• WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY HARM RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP

12. Termination

• You may stop using the App at any time
• We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms
• Upon termination, you must stop using the App and delete it from your device
• Sections that should survive termination (like liability limitations) will remain in effect

13. Changes to Terms

• We may update these Terms from time to time
• We will notify users of significant changes through the App or email
• Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms
• If you disagree with changes, you should stop using the App

14. Third-Party Services

• The App may integrate with third-party services (app stores, analytics, etc.)
• We are not responsible for third-party services or their terms
• Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where our company is located. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
